All the guitar world was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of
Phillip Houghton. A dear friend and a uniquely gifted composer, he was
an inspiration to all but, particularly to me. In late 2017 I
attended a special Celebration Concert of Phil's music
at Montsalvat in Melbourne; a place where we first met way back in 1989. Here are highlights
courtesy of Guitarsonline. Also our own tribute from the
Sydney Guitar
Trio. Thank you to all who made this event so memorable and
heartfelt.
I have done some new cello & guitar arrangements for Karin Schaupp's latest collaboration CD,
Wayfaring
with cellist Umberto Clerici, released in March.

Richard Charlton is widely recognised as one of Australia's leading guitarist/composers.
His works have been recorded & performed by many leading Australian and international players.
Richard's music combines a love of melody with a keen sense of harmonic & formal structure - music "to entice ear as well as the intellect"
